We began our careers working for large companies in New Zealand and then the UK. However, our dream of raising "free-range children" led us home back to NZ to settle in a semi-rural setting. Mangawhai became home over 20 years ago, drawn by its beautiful beaches, golf course, and proximity to Auckland. Investing in property and starting our own businesses have been challenges we were excited to take on. Would we do it di,erently if we did it again, of course, but it’s been a journey we wouldn’t trade. Collaboration and a can-do attitude has always been at the heart of what we do.

We are proud to be a chartered accounting business, and hold a certificate in public practice. We belong to Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand (CAANZ), New Zealand’s premier accounting body, who’s role is to uphold professional standards and independently audit their members.

    My promise to you is patience backed by practical business experience. With a degree in Marketing and Management, I’ve worked across industries including freight, manufacturing, London trading floors, and building. That range of experience has given me a strong understanding of how different businesses operate and the pressures owners face day to day.

    Returning to accounting was a natural step as our practice grew. It gave me the chance to bring together strategy, structure, and working closely with people. I haven’t looked back since.

    This is a people business, built on respect for your challenges, solving problems properly, and helping you make decisions with clarity and confidence.

    What I enjoy most is seeing clients grow stronger, feel more in control, and build businesses they’re proud of.

    My career has taken me from public practice into the forestry sector, then to London, working across insurance and fund management, before returning to public practice. Along the way, I’ve worked in tax, financial accounting, management accounting, project accounting, and forensic accounting. That breadth of experience means I can look at issues from different angles and offer advice that fits your situation, not a generic template.

    We’re professional, responsive, and focused on getting things done properly. We believe good relationships matter. What I enjoy most is seeing clients realise their financial goals and love using Xero realising keeping your accounts in order isn’t as hard as they thought it would be.
