About us.

We began our careers working for large companies in New Zealand and then the UK. However, our dream of raising "free-range children" led us home back to NZ to settle in a semi-rural setting. Mangawhai became home over 20 years ago, drawn by its beautiful beaches, golf course, and proximity to Auckland. Investing in property (farm, residential and commercial) and starting our own businesses (building and accounting) have been challenges we were excited to take on. Would we do it di,erently if we did it again, of course, but it’s been a journey we wouldn’t trade. Collaboration and a can-do attitude has always been at the heart of what we do.

We are proud to be a chartered accounting business, and hold a certificate in public practice. We belong to Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand (CAANZ), New Zealand’s premier accounting body, who’s role is to uphold professional standards and independently audit their members.

    Bring an open mind to the boardroom - we’ll mind map on the manboard. Fear not, that’s my trusty whiteboard - home to collaborating ideas, business solutions or unravelling tax jargon (it’s often comedy relief too).

    My promise to you is patience and practical business knowledge. With a degree in Marketing & Management, I’ve navigated industries from freight and manufacturing to UK trading floors before diving into building. That mix of experiences has deepened my empathy for people from all walks of life and sharpened my understanding of what makes businesses tick.

    Returning to accounting was a natural step as our practice grew — a space where I could combine strategy, structure, and people. I haven’t looked back since.

    At its heart, this is a people business — built on respect for your challenges, problem-solving, and guiding decisions with clarity and insight. Every conversation and every set of accounts get the same care and attention because that what turns good thinking into great outcomes.

    We’re also a sucker for helping out. Over the years we’ve supported many local organisations, and our buzz is seeing you succeed.
